We often see folks come out to our events and are curious about what to play next. Maybe something they’re familiar with and can teach their friends, or maybe something new they’ve never tried before. I wanted to share a few titles that have been hits at our game nights!

These are some fun games that aren’t hard to learn, but always cause a lot of noise at the tables!

Magical Athlete

Roll and move your silly characters to win! Sounds easy, right? Each one of these adorably unhinged characters has a special power that flips the game on its head. You and your friends must draft at the start of each race which athletes you’ll use, and it’s race time!

Moon Colony Bloodbath!

Slowly build your colony with food, technology, and people! Everything is going your way until… someone opens an airlock into space! Whoops! Everyone at the table is working against the accidents and calamities that befall your moon colonists, will you be the last to survive?

Quick play!

These are great games for players looking to get into something right away as a first game of the night!

Tacta

The end of this game looks like someone dropped a deck of cards, but trust me this is pretty cool! Line up your cards on top of your opponent’s cards to score points! Place them in a way on the table so yours can’t get covered! It’s great fun and is quick to play!

Wavelength

A new classic, Wavelength is a game of perspective. Can you convince your team where Tom Cruise fits on the slide of “Knows how to ride a motorcycle” to “Doesn’t know how to ride a motorcycle”? If you can get them ON YOUR WAVELENGTH, you score points for your team and win!

Big and thinky!

These are the bigger games, ones which people might be playing all night!

Art Society

Everyone is an art collector in this fun game full of bidding, picture placement, and VALUE MANIPULATION! That’s right, each turn you and your friends are going to be bidding on different sizes and types of art. Then you place them neatly on your wall, hoping to rack up those points. But each piece that doesn’t make it into your collection will end up in the museum, and the value of those painting types will sky-rocket and give the best collector the most points at the end! It’s a great time!

Wingspan

Considered a new classic, this beautiful game of birds and ecosystems is played at nearly every WBGS. Attract birds into onto your player mat, and carefully play their actions into the highest scoring combo!
